Arts & Crafts Day

I have been chilling out for the past few days as I've recently handed in all my work for 3rd year, so now have nothing until september! YESSSSS, in celebration, I have been getting back to hands on craft basics.

First up; Tie Dying
Yes its massively hippy and only a very very small handful can pull it of, but what the hell! We're going to wear them at Glastonbury. We bought the t-shirts from H&M (Make sure you buy cotton) and spent this afternoon making them.
What do you think? Pretty eye blindinly bright eh! Mine is the far right (all pink one) check out my flatmate Kirsty's 3 colour one! We were very impressed, and are now considering decorating the house in tie dye, the list of possibilities is endless; curtains, trousers, cushions, throws, wall hangings. All we need now is to stock up on incense and 70s prog rock music and we'll be in a tie dye hippy nightmare!

The next task I set myself was to create a paper cut out (Rob Ryan inspired) piece for my cousins wedding, which is this Saturday. Obviously its not a stratch on the amazing My Ryan, but not too shabby for a first attempt! The S & E are their initials, what do you think?

Happy Crafting!

  1. Hi Charlotte, thanks for your comments on my blog. The Pure Gallery is on Park View I believe, and I think the exhibition is on until the end of the month. Loving your blog by the way ... this paper cut out is fab x
