The best Winter trainers

Trainers may not be the first thing you think of when it comes to Winter footwear but with trainers becoming more and more popular they are becoming an all year round footwear choice. I've picked out my current favourite styles perfect for the Winter season, which may or may not have turned into a shopping list, oops!

1. Burgundy is a huge colour this season, easy to wear and goes with everything, try these New Balance M996GLN Made in the USA they will look great paired with some dark denim and a burgundy fisherman knit. £139 available from End Clothing

2. I love my Air Max's and these Nike Air Max 1's are a great addition to the womens max range. I love the speckled sole and the flash of purple on the lace eyes will brighten up any gloomy winter day. £94.95 available from Well Gosh

3. A hybrid of the Air Max 90 and a high top sneaker, with no sew seams and in full carbonite black these trainers are pretty bolshy. £115 available from Soleheaven

4. This pair of Nike Dunk High OMS are from the "off mountain series" and you can tell why with their chunky soles, metal lace eyelets and mesh details these trainers are perfect for muddy winter walks. £100 available from Size?

5. Team slate grey with zingy coral and you get a cool pair of trainers that will define any outfit. They might not look too practical but alas they feature leather mudguards! £105 available from End Clothing.

6. These are a personal favourite of mine, I love a bit of leopard print. This pair by Gourmet 35 would look great teamed with military green trousers and a cream cable knit. £99.95 available from Well Gosh.

7. Bright and fun these Nike Air Max 1's are great for all year round. Match the red with your backpack or your shirt for super outfit matchiness. £95.00 available from Size?

8. I am a little bit in love with these Reebok X Atmos trainers, who needs unflattering walking boots when these beauts exist?! Definitely on the wish list. £115 available from End Clothing.

Thanks for reading, what do you think of my choices? Have you bought any new trainers for Winter?

  1. Too right, I wear trainers all year around. Little bit trickier when it rains but my white leather Jack Purcell are standing up pretty well. Really like those Dunks in no.4, the suede with the mottled soles are super cool looking. I can't get on board with Gourmet, they're interestingly designs but they don't feel very substantial in real life.

    1. Yes I might avoid wearing my Air Max's in the snow but they are so comfy for winter walks! I like the Gourmet design but they are quite pricey (more expensive than 90's which I would say have a bigger street appeal!?) thanks for your comment, as always :)))
